Aanraku 1-Inch Fine 220-Grit Twofers — 2 Pack
A fine-grit two-pack intended for a calmer final pass rather than fast material removal.
This is a finishing choice for makers who value a smoother edge on delicate glass. The 220-grit surface removes material more slowly, so it is most effective after the shape is already close to the pattern line.
Reasons to choose it
- Finishing fragile or chip-prone glass
- 1 in diameter
- 220 fine grit
Consider before buying
- Confirm shank compatibility
- Rough-shape before the fine pass
- Choose a standard 100/120-grit bit when general shaping speed matters more than the final surface texture.

Why it remains on our shortlist
Aanraku identifies the grit and diameter in its own product catalogue. Fine bits are finishing choices rather than rapid stock-removal tools.
Ownership considerations
Use light pressure and keep the full abrasive face wet. Asking a fine bit to remove a large amount of glass wastes time and concentrates wear.
Who it suits
This is a strong shortlist candidate for finishing fragile or chip-prone glass. The useful question is whether that describes most of your work, not merely one future project.
When another tool makes more sense
Choose a standard 100/120-grit bit when general shaping speed matters more than the final surface texture.
